A hustings due to take place in Carlisle tomorrow has been cancelled following the Manchester terror attack.
With campaigning currently suspended by political parties, it was decided to cancel the event at the University of Cumbria.
The organisers - Carlisle One World Centre, Sustainable Carlisle and Churches Together in Carlisle - are hoping to reschedule the hustings for Monday, June 5.
All four of the candidates standing for election in the constituency were due to attend the debate, at the Learning Gateway on Fusehill Street, Carlisle.
It was due to be hosted by Julian Whittle, from the Cumbria Chamber of Commerce.
Political parties across Cumbria have stood down from canvassing until further notice.
Instead a vigil has been organised outside Carlisle Cathedral at 7pm tonight as a mark of respect to those affected by the tragedy. Those attending are invited to bring a flower.
