Sibling rivalry will be top of the agenda again tonight when Carlisle United take on Exeter in the first leg of the League Two play-off.

Chris Marsh is a Carlisle fan and has been for 15 years since he moved up from Devon.

Brother Richard, meanwhile, is an Exeter fan and has followed his team since he was a child.

Chris, who is headteacher at St Michael's CE Primary School in Dalston, said: "Sibling rivalry is alive and well.

"I was born and brought up in Devon but have lived in Cumbria now for 15 years so I started following Carlisle United.

"Richard still lives in Exeter so he follows them and my other brother Steve follows Plymouth Argyle."

Chris made the long trip to Exeter last weekend with friends to see his team win and land a place in the play-offs.

He said: "The journey was about seven hours. My brother's company sponsored the game so we were very well looked after. We had a great weekend.

"It was a great result for us and have kept the bank holiday weekend free for a trip to Wembley.

"It's funny that we have to play each other again so soon."

Chris, who usually stands in the Paddock at Brunton Park, will be at tomorrow's game and thinks United will draw.

He said: "Richard is hoping to make it up but he has work on Monday so we'll have to wait and see.

"I think we will draw tomorrow but win away next Thursday night. That's my prediction.

"I just feel that we have momentum now. I have a funny feeling.

"I won't be able to make the Thursday night game as I will be at school that day and won't be able to travel down unfortunately.

"The season ended well for my brother Steve as Plymouth were promoted. It could end well for me or Richard as well. One of us will be going to Wembley. I just hope it's me."

The game, at Brunton Park, kicks off at 6.30pm.
