Drivers in Carlisle have reported delays this evening as they run a gauntlet of roadworks in the city.
Those travelling from the west to the north of the city in particular say they've encountered a number of delays on journeys home from work.
Works include temporary traffic lights - taking traffic down to one lane - on Dalston Road and Newtown Road.
Travelling north, a lane has been closed at Hardwicke Circus, just past the entry sliproad beyond the castle, causing some delays there.
Meanwhile, some of the longest delays reported have been on Kingstown Road, where temporary traffic lights are operating in place of the permanent lights close to the Morrisons supermarket.
A significant roads resurfacing operation has been taking place there.
The roadworks in each of the areas has been well advertised, with drivers warned to prepare for delays.
