A charity shop worker from Carlisle has denied stealing more than £5,600 from her employer.
At Carlisle's Rickergate magistrates' court, Judith Thom, 40, was told the allegation against her is that she produced false receipts in order to steal £5,631 from the Forces Support Charity between March and April last year.
Magistrates ruled that the case was not suitable for summary trial.
Thom, said to hold a position of trust at the Carlisle store, was granted bail. She will appear at Carlisle Crown Court for a hearing on May 26.
The defendant's address on the court list was given as Sycamore Lane, Carlisle, although she gave her address in court as Pennine Way, Harraby.
