A woman accused of plotting to blackmail four people will go on trial later this year.

Holly Lamb, 22, appeared at Carlisle Crown Court today over a video link from custody to face two charges.

Lamb pleaded not guilty to an allegation of conspiracy to blackmail, between February 28 and May 20 this year. Two men and two women are named in the charge.

She also denied one allegation of transferring criminal property - namely cash.

Lamb was told her trial would take place at the crown court in October.

It is estimated the hearing will last three to four days.

Lamb, of Ramsey Drive, Parton, near Whitehaven, was remanded in custody by Judge Peter Davies.
