25 firefighters tackle blaze at Cumbrian garage

An investigation is underway after fire ripped through the garage area of a Cumbrian petrol station this afternoon.

Have your say

Mike anybody with any common sense would stay away from a fire especially when it was at a petrol station, the fire fighters have enough to do without putting up red and white tape

Fantastic work by the emergency services to avert a real disaster.

Hope it recovers quickly for Benns! We've bought two ex hire vans off them and they've always been spot on!

The fire was extinguished. The appliance was moved onto the forecourt to allow the road to be opened while equipment was being put away.

Very sorry to read that. It is an excellent garage where one can trust them to do a really good job on one's car. Do hope things get sorted for Robin and his staff soon.

Should the number of calories in alcoholic drinks be put on labels?

No - it is another example of the nanny state

Yes. You have calories on other food & drink labels, so why not?

Yes. But I doubt it will make much difference to the drinker
