Live webchat: Chief Constable Craig Mackey
The News & Star is offering you the chance to quiz Cumbria's top police officer, Chief Constable Craig Mackey, during a live webchat.
Mr Mackey - who will be accompanied by Carlisle Inspector Tony Quinn - will answer your questions on Tuesday, July 14, between 7pm and 9pm.
Mr Mackey will take a range of questions but is particularly keen to hear people’s views on what police priorities should be and understanding the needs of young people.
He said: “This will be the first time I have taken part in a live webchat and I am looking forward to it.
“It is great to be able to use this new medium to talk directly with the community we serve and I welcome the opportunity. It is very important to me that we are policing the issues that matter most to the people of Cumbria.
“I see this as another chance for people to let me know what issues are impacting on their lives and hopefully find solutions to those issues.
“This is another opportunity for the communities of Cumbria to help shape the constabulary's policing priorities."
This session follows an earlier successful webchat with Insp Quinn, who said he had received a lot of positive comments from police officers and members of the public.
