FIRE crews dealt with an early morning van fire on the M6.
The incident happened about 2am today near to Junction 43.
Firefighters from the city's east and west fire station, together with a crew from Longtown were at the scene - they were at the scene for about an hour.
It is understood that police and the Highways Agency were on the scene.
A spokesman from Cumbria Fire and Rescue said it may have been due to an electrical fault with the van.
