Police have confirmed the body of a man was found this morning.
Officers received a call from a member of the public after the discovery.
The call came just after 10.30am to notify police there was a body by the River Petteril.
Currently, police have sections of Melbourne Park cordoned off and the entrance to the park from the Adelaide Street is also cordoned off .
Police are unable to offer any more details at the moment.
