A leading firm of Cumbrian financial advisers has seen two members of its team named as finalists for a national award.

David Malin and Lisa Gilpin, of Lamont Pridmore Asset & Wealth Management, have been shortlisted in this year’s Professional Adviser New Talent Awards.

Mr Malin, director of financial services , has been selected as a finalist in the Adviser of the Year category.

He was nominated for his “exceptional work”, Lamont Pridmore said, and his ability to demonstrate expertise in providing up-to-the-minute pragmatic advice on complex matters.

Ms Gilpin, finance and operations director has been shortlisted for the Paraplanner of the year category after being nominated by her fellow team members.

Mr Malin said: “It is a real honour to be recognised at the Professional Adviser New Talent Awards.

“Both Lisa and I pride ourselves on providing the highest levels of service to our clients and we feel that this is reflected in our reaching the finals of these prestigious awards.

“Huge thanks has to go to our clients and the rest of the team at Lamont Pridmore Asset & Wealth Management who continue to support us.”

Mr Malin is no stranger to winning awards after taking home a trophy at the Money Management Financial Planner Awards last year.

Graham Lamont, chief executive of Lamont Pridmore, said: “We are proud of what the Lamont Pridmore Asset & Wealth Management team has achieved.

“We would like to congratulate them on their shortlisting.

“The addition of a dedicated wealth team has made a massive difference to our clients and really added extra value to our overall service.”

Winners of the Professional Adviser New Talent Awards will be announced at an awards ceremony on September 26 in London.
