Three men have heard they could all be "locked up" after being involved in late-night violence at a Wigton social club.

Kane Hull, 25, and Callum Kerr, 23, appeared over a video link at Carlisle Crown Court this morning, while 28-year-old Thomas Peter Reynolds sat in the dock.

Kerr and Reynolds each pleaded guilty to affray - a charge also admitted at a previous court hearing by Hull.

In addition, both Kerr and Hull admit possessing offensive weapons - a knife and a glass bottle, respectively. Kerr further admits damaging a carpet belonging to Cumbria Police on October 14.

The charges are said to follow violence which erupted outside and inside the West Street Social Club in Wigton just before midnight on October 13.

Judge James Adkin adjourned the case to November 23, when all three defendants are due to be sentenced.

Judge Adkin stressed he may not be the judge who passes sentence, but said: "On the face of it, it seems to me everybody is getting locked up."

Until the date of sentence, Kerr, of no fixed address, and Hull, of Aglionby, near Carlisle, were each remanded in custody.

Reynolds, of South End, Wigton, was granted conditional bail.
