A MAN has been remanded in custody after he was charged with three offences following a fight outside a Wigton social club.
Callum Kerr, 23, of no fixed address, was charged with possession of an offensive weapon in a public place, affray and criminal damage, following a fight outside West Street Social Club on October 13.
The offensive weapon in question is alleged to be a knife.
However, police have said there is no evidence that the knife was used in the incident.
Officers were called to the social club just before 11.30pm, to reports of a fight inside and outside the club, which involved weapons.
Three people were injured in the skirmish, including one man needing stitches on his arm after suffering a slashing injury.
Officers believe this injury was caused by a bottle.
Kerr appeared at Carlisle Magistrates' Court on Monday, and was remanded in custody ahead of his trial at Carlisle Crown Court on November 12.
A second person was also arrested following the fight.
Thomas Reynolds, 28, of Brookside Place, Carlisle, was charged with a public order offence.
Reynolds will appear before Workington Magistrates' Court on November 2.
