Cigarette ends and takeaway boxes were found at a Carlisle nursery which was targeted by vandals.
Staff at Yewkids Nursery at Yewdale Community Centre were devastated to find their outdoor area trashed and strewn with rubbish this morning.
It is thought to have happened sometime between 4pm on Saturday and 8am today.
Staff think vandals have come over the fence at the front of the nursery which is next to a busy car park used to access the takeaway, shops and recycling bins.
Two gates, which can only be opened from inside the outdoor space, were left open.
The nursery is appealing for anyone with information to contact the police on 101 or to get in touch through the Yewkids Facebook page.
