A department store is undergoing a £100,000 renovation to improve the experience for shoppers.
The Original Factory Shop at Market Place, Wigton, is improving lighting, flooring, fixtures, fitting rooms and making more space for browsing.
The company say that there will be an extended range of fashion for men, women and children, as well as home wares, electrical goods and toiletries, including well-known brands.
There will also be beds, furniture and toys.
Manager Tracy Vickers said: “We’ve listened carefully to our customers and believe the store’s new layout will be just what they want.
“It will be more spacious, more family-friendly and have a brighter feel to it.”
Customers will be able to buy items online, as well as by phone or in store.
The store will also continue to support local charities through its ‘Make a Difference’ campaign, which has raised more than £100,000 across the UK.
The shop has also been supporting Longthwaite Road pre-school.
It is set to reopen with its new layout on Monday.
