All fun of Fairtrade Fortnight

CARLISLE City Fairtrade Group held a coffee morning on Saturday with giant board game, to mark Fairtrade Fortnight.

The group, with the help of Christian Aid, welcomed shoppers and passers by to the Old Town Hall for tea and coffee.

A giant Snakes and Ladders game, designed by the Fairtrade Foundation, was set up in the old Market Square.

Fairtrade events continued last night (MON) with the gala showing of Black Gold, the tale of a coffee farmer from Ethiopia, at Tullie House.

Tonight Carlisle Fairtraders will travel to Keswick where Harriet Lamb from the Fairtrade Foundation will be speaking at the Words by the Water literary festival on ‘Fighting Fairtrade Battles’.
