Residents can see how many offences have been carried out in their neighbourhood by typing in their postcode here.
Figures will then be available for all crimes committed in the ward, broken down into the number of thefts, robberies, violent crimes, car offences, burglaries and anti-social acts.
They are available on a map and there will also be comparisons with statistics for the same point the previous year so people can measure any progress in cracking crime.
The data will be presented on a monthly basis for the previous month and is presented for every ward within the county.
Officers plan to place the figures in context online and intend to flag up any successful operations.
