The Dumfries to Annan B724 low road was closed between Powfoot and Annan following the crash involving a Stagecoach bus and the car.

Firefighters from Annan and the major rescue vehicle from Dumfries freed one person who was seriously injured and taken to Dumfries Infirmary.

The firefighters had to use cutting equipment to free the trapped motorist.

The accident blocked the road about half mile from Newbie Bridge.

The bus ended up partly in a field and diversions were set up.

Has the snow and ice spoiled your day?

Yes. The roads and pavements are dangerous and the weather has caused havoc.

No. It isn't that bad and I can't see what all the fuss is about.
