Police are investigating an alleged sex attack in Workington.
Specially-trained officers are investigating whether the 15-year-old girl was the victim of an assault while she was out between 2am and 6am on Saturday.
The investigation is understood to still be at a very early stage.
Meanwhile, a 17-year-old Carlisle youth is to appear in court charged with a sexual assault.
It follows an alleged attack on a 20-year-old woman in the Weardale Road area of the city which happened at around 4am yesterday as she made her way home from a night out.
The youth has been charged with sexually assaulting a woman.
He is to appear before Carlisle youth court on October 15.
