Lottery winner’s luxury Carlisle home up for sale

The luxury pad of a Carlisle lottery winner is up for sale for £850,000.
Triple millionaire David Little, a former sheet metal worker, scooped a £3.4m National Lottery jackpot in 2002.
Soon afterwards Mr Little, 49, set about building a lavish dream home in the village of Cumwhinton – complete with swimming pool, jacuzzi, bar, gym and pool room.
Mr Little, who worked for Keytor Engineering in Carlisle and lived in Fulford Walk, Etterby Park before his lotto win, also installed a specially commissioned Italian marble mosaic in the four-bedroom detached house.
But Carlisle estate agents, Hayward Tod Associates are selling the property. They say the winner and his wife Alison left the property to move elsewhere in the county about two years ago.
Partner Peter Hayward told the News & Star that Mr Little, once hailed as Carlisle’s most eligible bachelor before his marriage in 2004, has moved his family further into the countryside.
“He got married so there’s a different dynamic in his life. His new family are into horses and horse breeding,” he said.
“He’s moved to a very different traditional property with more land.
“It’s the same old story – he got into a position where he could buy what he wanted and then perhaps discovered it wasn’t what he wanted after all.”
Mr Hayward said the property has attracted a lot of interest since it went on the market about a fortnight ago.
“We’ve had no offers yet. But that end of the market, regardless of good or bad times [in the housing market], there are not endless amounts of people in this area who can buy that kind of property.”
The News & Star was unable to contact Mr Little for comment.
