Biker, 29, is hurt in crash

A BIKER was seriously hurt when he came off his machine near Dearham yesterday.
The 29-year-old, from Maryport, was taken by ambulance to the Royal Victoria Infirmary in Newcastle.
Police say his injuries are serious but not life threatening.
The A594 Maryport-Cockermouth road was closed for an hour following the accident, at Toll Bar Cottage, just before 11.30am.
The injured man was driving a Yamaha bike.
Police do not believe any other vehicle was involved.
