A KNIFE-wielding drugs criminal stood at the foot of his ex-girlfriend's bed and told her: "I'll cut your head off".

Macauley Porter, 19, threatened to make the woman suffer after she woke to find him in her room armed with a blade.

Porter, of Brook Street, Carlisle, was imprisoned for three years and four months for both issuing these threats and two drugs charges.

The city's crown court was told he made the chilling declaration on Boxing Day last year after he had gone out drinking when the woman ended their relationship.

Julian Goode, prosecuting, said she rang Porter asking for a key back.

"The complainant woke up in bed to see the defendant stood at the bottom of the bed with a knife," Mr Goode told the court.

"He was shouting: Where are all the police? I'll stab every single one of them.

"I'm going to make sure you suffer."

Mr Goode said Porter was waving the knife around.

"He said: Phone the police, phone your mam and dad. Get them all here," added Mr Goode.

"I'll cut your head off first, open the door and stab every single one of them."

Porter admitted making threats to kill.

He also admitted being concerned in the supply of crack cocaine and possessing cannabis bush with intent to supply.

The court heard these charges followed a number of drug busts last year.

Tariq Khawam, representing Porter, said he had no previous convictions.

On the threats to kill, he added: "He was residing with his ex partner.

"She decided there was no further future in the relationship. It led to him going out and drinking.

"He was a different person. He entered the address and lost it."

Judge Barbara Forrester sent Porter to a Young Offenders' Institution for 28 months for the crack cocaine crime and four months - to run concurrently - for the cannabis offence.

He also received a one year sentence, to run consecutively, for the threats to kill.
