Factory evacuated in Cumbria after fire breaks out

A factory has been evacuated after fire broke out on an industrial estate in Silloth.

Crews were called at 3.06pm following reports of an acetylene cylinder on fire at a large industrial unit.

The factory, Harrison's pallet store, was evacuated and a 100m cordon set up while fire crews fight the fire.

Although the fire has been extinguished, crews are still at the scene damping down and ensuring the remaining cylinders are safe before reopening the area.

Police say that the B5302 may be closed through the night as a result.
