BROADCAST bosses who will decided the fate of Border TV's regional news service have promised to visit the Border region.
Officials from industry regulator Ofcom made the pledge to a cross-border delegation of MPs during a meeting at Westminster.
Politicians stressed their opposition to the potential loss of the evening news programme Lookaround if a controversial merger of the news teams of Border and Tyne Tees is approved.
A 10-week consultation on ITV’s reorganisation will be launched in September.
