A 15-year-old from Aspatria and John Michael Hull, 33, of Blackwell Road in Currock, were appearing in court this morning following an attack on Xenon Charters, 22.
The two were questionned by police yesterday as part of an investigation launched after Mr Charters suffered wounds to his face, neck and body on Friday August 15.
Mr Charters was taken to the Cumberland Infirmary in Carlisle. None of the wounds proved life-threatening.
Police confirmed today that a string of charges had been brought this morning against the two suspects after they were quizzed by detectives.
The 15-year-old, whose identity is protected by law, is accused of wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, making threats to damage property, assault causing actual bodily harm and possession of a blade.
Hull is charged with wounding, making threats to damage property, witness intimidation, disqualified driving, failing to provide a specimen of breath and driving without insurance.
Both were due to appear before Carlisle Magistrates Court.
