Last updated at 11:37, Monday, 19 September 2011
Here are the finalists in the babies under one year category in this year's Bonny Babies competition.
Tomorrow and Wednesday we will run the finalists in the sections for boys and girls aged one to three.
Each section winner will receive the News & Star trophy and a £150 voucher for shops in the Lanes, Carlisle.
Second prizes will be £100 vouchers; third prize winners will receive £75 vouchers while the fourth prize winner will collect vouchers for £50.
Our judges – Anne Pickles, associate editor, Cumbrian Newspapers; David Jackson, commercial director, and Janet Murray, marketing manager, both of The Lanes – faced the difficult task of selecting a shortlist of 90 babies from the hundreds of entries.
And now it’s your turn to vote for your favourite babies.
There are two ways to vote:
TEXT – Simply text ns babes followed by a space and the number of your choice from the children on this page and send to 88833. Texts cost 50p plus standard network rates.
If you scan in the smartphone QR code on this page, that will open your phone's SMS.
COUPON – Complete the in-paper coupon and send it off to the address stated, or hand it in to any News & Star office.
