Our people are our most important asset and critical to our success. They directly interact with our guests and make sure they enjoy their stay with us and come back again.

We employ around 7,500 individuals across the UK and, naturally, understand the importance of delivering initiatives that support, develop and reward all of our employees.

Currently, we’re recruiting for a number of part-time housekeepers at Whinfell Forest. As well as providing some fantastic new career opportunities, the recruitment drive will benefit the rest of the team at Center Parcs - we know that a larger workforce offers our employees more flexibility with their shifts.

And happier employees mean an even better stay for our guests. It’s a win, win situation and we’re excited to make that happen.

Paula Corrigan, resource and planning manager for housekeeping at Whinfell Forest, is leading this recruitment drive.

She’s taking to the road in early July with two recruitment events held in Carlisle where we are looking to take our housekeeping team from 400 staff to 450.

She said: "As the resource planning manager for housekeeping, I am looking to grow our already successful housekeeping team at Whinfell Forest.

“Working at Center Parcs can be a fun and rewarding job with great perks available for you, your family and friends. We have various different permanent shifts available from 9.5 hours to 30 hours per week. If you would like to talk to us about working at Center Parcs pop along to one of our events and talk to our team. We can also offer subsidised bus travel from selected places throughout Cumbria."

We affectionately call the part-time housekeeping shifts ‘family friendly’ because they really are.

A good percentage of our housekeeping workforce start on our Monday and Friday changeover shift, which is 10am to 2.45pm. This means that any parent with small children can work and still have lots of family time.

Add to this the amazing benefits we offer, which includes heavily discounted breaks at Center Parcs and free or discounted use of our facilities, and it’s simply a wonderful opportunity for families to work whilst still spending quality time together.

We have generations of families here at Whinfell Forest and most of our employees are referrals, which is fantastic.
