SWINDON boss Danny Wilson admits his side will have their work cut out to stop Carlisle United’s dangermen today.
The Robins chief has identified Matty Robson, Joe Anyinsah and Graham Kavanagh as three players his side have to contain at Brunton Park this afternoon.
Wilson, who watched United’s 3-2 defeat at Bristol Rovers last weekend, also believes Greg Abbott’s tactics could pose his side problems.
“Having watched Carlisle at Bristol Rovers they were very unlucky not to get a result,” Wilson said.
“They are a potent force and on the counter-attack they are very good.
“Matty Robson and Joe Anyinsah on the other side have both got tremendous pace and will cause problems for defenders.
“The system they have played the last two games, with Graham Kavanagh sat in behind the striker in a free role, seems to suit what they want to do. It’s a difficult system to pin down.
“Anybody at any time going to Carlisle will find it difficult, but they have had a good result in the cup in midweek so they will be quite buoyant.”
Swindon’s former United favourite Lee Peacock, who grew up in Workington, could be on the bench today as he continues his comeback from a back problem.
Ex-United loan winger Alan O’Brien misses out with a hamstring injury but influential ex-Leeds midfielder Jon Douglas is back in league action today after suspension.
Probable starting XI: Lucas, Amankwaah, Jean-Francois, Greer, Cuthbert, Ferry, Douglas, McNamee, McGovern, Paynter, Hutchinson.
