Greg Abbott will hand Adam Collin his Brunton Park debut in the heat of FA Cup battle today.
Former Workington Reds goalkeeper Collin, promoted to the side at Lenny Pidgeley’s expense at MK Dons in midweek, will be charged with keeping Norwich at bay this afternoon.
The Blues boss should also have Adam Clayton available despite the midfielder suffering a knee injury on Tuesday night.
But Tom Taiwo is suspended, which could mean a return to the starting line-up for Joe Anyinsah after his matchwinning heroics at stadium:mk.
Abbott’s side must contain Canaries’ dangermen such as Grant Holt and Wes Hoolahan today. But the manager added: “Norwich will be thinking about Vincent Pericard, Graham Kavanagh, Matty Robson and Kevan Hurst as well.
“The key to stopping their better players is by exposing the weaknesses they might have.
“Norwich are a good side, and we will have to be at our best and be more determined in defending our goal than we were at MK Dons.”
Norwich boss Paul Lambert snapped up Swindon’s Anthony McNamee before Thursday’s loan deadline but the winger is cup-tied today.
n UNITED’S youth team clash with Accrington Stanley at Creighton today has been postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.
