Harris: We’ll end our goal drought

MILLWALL striker Neil Harris, who gunned down Carlisle United this time last season, admits the Lions are desperate for a change of fortune against the Blues today.
Experienced Harris scored twice in the London side’s 2-0 win over United at The Den last term. But he along with his team-mates have been struggling in front of goal on home turf, with Kenny Jackett’s relegation-threatened men managing just one goal in their last five outings.
Victory against the Blues today will confirm their survival. “In the last couple of weeks the severity of the situation we are in has really hit home to us all,” Harris said.
“We all know that one goal in our last five home games is nowhere near good enough, but also that we have dominated so many matches and not scored, as we did against Leeds last Saturday.
“Sooner or later it has got to be our turn when we get a slice of luck or one moment of brilliance to change a game. Let’s hope it is soon – and that it happens against Carlisle.”
Jay Simpson, on loan from Arsenal, is an obvious dangerman while towering former Brighton striker Bas Savage will pose aerial problems for Danny Livesey and co.
Jackett is without a string of injured first-teamers including Dave Brammer, Anan Dunne and Gary Alexander. But Danny Senda, Lewis Grabban and Ryan Smith could return today.
