Former Carlisle United manager Paul Simpson is returning to Brunton Park this weekend to share the secrets of his World Cup-winning summer with England's under-20s.

The Blues have announced that Simpson will be special guest at an event in Foxy's Restaurant before Saturday's home clash with Cheltenham.

United say the Carlisle-born manager will give an overview of how he led the young England side to the trophy in South Korea.

It was the first global tournament victory by an England side since the 1966 World Cup.

Simpson- who led Carlisle to back-to-back promotions in 2005 and 2006 - will also take part in a question-and-answer session hosted by BBC Radio Cumbria's Mike Zeller.

United are taking bookings for the event, offering a £45 package which includes a two-course meal and match ticket.

Season-ticket holders can attend for £25.

The event is due to start at 12pm and bookings are being taken now - contact katie.mitchell@carlisleunited.co.uk or call 01228 554155.
