Michael Raynes and Junior Joachim are the latest players set to leave Carlisle United.

United announced defender Raynes has turned down a new deal today with League Two rivals Crewe announcing the 29-year-old will join them on a two-year contract on July 1.

Meanwhile, attacker Joachim has also left Carlisle.

Joachim was one name missing from the club's retained and released list, published on Monday, with the striker away in France on family business.

But he became the sixth player to depart the Brunton Park outfit since the end of their season with the club already having released Cumbrian left-back Patrick Brough along with keeper Max Crocombe and striker Ben Tomlinson.

Meanwhile, United announced yesterday Jabo Ibehre had rejected a new contract.

Carlisle are still waiting for responses from James Bailey, Samir Nabi, Mark Gillespie and Jason Kennedy after they were also offered fresh terms this week.

Following the announcement of his impending exit, Raynes took to Twitter to thank the Blues for his time at United after joining the club in May 2015.

Blues boss Keith Curle added on Carlisle's website: "Michael has been fantastic for us, both with how he's been as an individual and with his presence for us in the dressing room and out on the pitch."
