The big interview: Carlisle Utd chief John Nixon

Carlisle United managing director John Nixon sat down for a far-ranging interview with Jon Colman before yesterday's final league game with champions Wolves.
In the no-punches pulled session - which lasted two hours - nothing was out of bounds.
The full interview runs to about 16,000 words, too many to put into one file, so we've split it into a number of pages for the web.
We have not, though, changed the order in which Jon supplied them or cut anything out.
Below are links to Jon's questions and Mr Nixon's replies:

Have your say
Re the appointment of Kav. Given that the board interviewed more than one person, the decision to appoint should have been made entirely on the interview process. If at the end of that Kav was not the right person then they should have appointed the top candidate. The results Kav achieved as the temp manager should not have come into the equation. The fact that JN keeps going on about the results makes me think he was not the first choice based on the interviews. Gutless if this was the case.
So our beloved Director refuses to purchase the News and Star because he says,"it is too expensive".However, he expects the supporters of Carlisle United to pay twenty plus pounds to watch utter dross? I say, "no John".I will not be going back to Brunton Park next season for the first time in 43 years. This current Board of Directors have nothing but contempt for the long suffering fans of Carlisle United.Twenty two pounds to sit through a game and two pounds sixty for a chicken pie.Someone is having a laugh at the expense of Carlisle united fans? For this reason, I will be paying a fiver to watch Celtic Nation next season."Laugh at that John"!
