Italian Bugno in eyecatching display for Carlisle Utd against St Mirren

Italian ace Alessio Bugno may have played his way towards a deal with Carlisle United after an eyecatching display on his Brunton Park debut.

Have your say

I hear Gregg is waiting till after the weekend to decide. Could be an epic fail,Alessio will already be getting attention from bigger clubs. Bite the bullet and sign him now. Doddering never paid..

Lets hope the contracts given are longer than previous leaving players free to move on for no return to the club also lets hope any loanees are season long rather than going like Cook did with games left that could be the climax to the season.Must add it is looking promising for the season ahead.

The results are encouraging. The signings and young players show potential and there may be more to free agents to come. And so far the D isn't leaking goals and that was a major issue to address this year.
I would love to see Tommy Taiwo back in blue and I hope he can reach some accommodation with his family. I am sure he would be welcome. It's a great shame to see him out of football.
The team development is moving on well and I suspect we're all building up expectation for a minimum run at the playoffs. But hey it is very early days.s

Bugno looks the part and I'm sure will become a favorite. Potts was outstanding for a young player and was encouraged all night by the three experienced defenders, Edwards, Murphy and Liversy. Sorry to see Mark Kerr go, he had a bit of style, but understand his concerns when the remaining younger mid field players play as well as they did tonight. Chris Chandler played some class passes. Looking forward to the next matches. Come on you blues....

I was impressed with Alessio Bugno who showed all the marks of a Italian player and young lad Potts had a great game but the one who stood out by a country mile was Chris Chantler who will not be here beyond Christmas as I think a club from a higher level will take him as he was sheer class and very aware of that to , I dare say that Man City will have a sell on clause in his contract but still he is an absolute gem of a player with so much class and will go on to bigger and better things , say England national team I hope that he is English , my only complaint is the fact it was a friendly was the price £12 was too much for this game

For the first time in a long time I am excited at the prospect of Carlisle United. The team played as a team last night and the young boys who played were magnificent. Alessio Bugno must be given a contract. He is exactly what we need at left back. Bring on the new season and the Championship 2013/2014.
