Carlisle United's goal hero: 'Don't clown around'

NEW goal hero Danny Cadamarteri today urged Carlisle United to ignore the Paolo di Canio “circus” this weekend.

Swindon’s fiery Italian manager – rarely out of the headlines – will be in the away dugout at Brunton Park in three days’ time.

But Blues striker Cadamarteri says Greg Abbott’s team must disregard all the hype and attention that follows di Canio and focus on earning a second straight victory.

“That stuff is for Swindon to deal with – our main aim is to forget about all the circus that comes with it, and get on with the job in hand,” said the experienced frontman.

“That means going out there, playing against Paolo di Danio’s good group of players, getting a result against them and giving our fans something to shout about.”

In an interview with News & Star Sport former Premier League star Cadamarteri, who broke his duck for United in last Saturday’s 2-1 win at Hartlepool, today explains how he is guiding Carlisle’s next generation of goalscoring talent.
