Bringing me sunshine
Eric Morecambe returns to Whitehaven!
WHAT a fantastic show at Rosehill Theatre last night. Bob Golding was starring in the bioplay about Eric Morecambe and it was a fantastic chance to relive many golden Morecambe & Wise moments. The theatre was packed - great news for Rosehill but not such good news for the inlaws who I'd taken along as a treat. Unfortunately I hadn't bothered to book tickets so despite the best efforts of the theatre staff they had to take a taxi home (well, I was writing the review so I had to stay to watch the show!). Anyone who was at the show will know how brilliant it was - but if you meet my in-laws, tell them it was awful and they didn't miss a thing! (See also my review)
CHEER UP OUR WAITING ROOMS CAMPAIGN
I've nominated our hospital waiting room for a Homebase makeover in their £10,000 competition so fingers crossed for a positive result.
A letter has flooded in criticising my campaign to have the drab posters taken down at the hospital. The reader has a go at me for criticising the staff but I would point out that's the one thing I didn't do. In fact I said they were wonderful!
