CUMBRIAN rock outfit Hardwicke Circus have been working with some of the UK's most respected producers as they follow up this spring's EP release.

The Carlisle seven-piece recently spent time in London in the studio with Stephen Lipson - known for his work with The Rolling Stones, Annie Lennox, and Pharrell Williams - and in Deal with Chris Tsangarides, who has produced for the Human League and Thin Lizzy.

Frontman Jonny Foster says: “It’s exciting that these two guys who have produced many of our favourite albums are into the sound. You ain’t heard nothing yet!”

The band plan to release these new tracks very soon and they will also be announcing a tour to follow it up. This comes hot on the heels of their latest EP, Social Music, which was released only in April.

In addition, the band announced in a video on their Facebook page that on Thursday June 22 they will be supporting Southside Johnny and the Asbury Dukes.

“He’s one of the New Jersey legends. Springsteen, Little Steven and Southside share the same philosophy," says Jonny.

"He’s defined what it means to be in a band, to play blinding sets and leave it on all on the stage. It’s what inspired me to pick up a guitar and an form a band with the best players around.

"He crops up a number of times in Springsteen’s autobiography, which is no surprise; a great songwriter and dynamite live - a real soul man.

"It’s real songs, real instruments, no autotune, no sneaky recorded fill-ins or ‘vocal reinforcement’ - it’s for real. We can’t wait to get on that stage on June 22 and show people what we got."

Tickets for the show at The Forum in London are available via the Hardwicke Circus Facebook page with a discount code.
