Lions Lions bring first UK tour to Cumbria
US rock outfit Lions Lions will be paying a visit to Cumbria on their first-ever UK tour.
The highly-rated Massachussetts five-piece play at Club Rock, in Carlisle, on Friday September 8, as they tour in support of their brand-new album, Monument.
Mixing up pop punk and post-hardcore, Lions Lions have established themselves over the past 10 years with shows across the United States, but this will be their first run of dates in Europe, with the Carlisle visit their only show in northern England.
Guitarist Brandon Davis says: "Some of us have never left America and most of us have never left the continent.
"Getting a chance to head over to the UK and Europe is beyond exciting to us and we can't wait to get there and play some shows."
Formed by ex-Vanna drummer Brandon, the band released their debut EP, Direction, in 2008. Currently unsigned, they have put out three full-length records to date, with the most recent, Monument, receiving plenty of praise in the rock music press.
In June, Lions Lions will provide support for Vanna's farewell shows in the US, and they have also shared the stage with acts such as Sleeping With Sirens, For Today and We Came As Romans, as well as appearing on the renowned Vans Warped Tour.
Support for the Carlisle show comes from Scottish act Hayworth. Tickets are available from Club Rock now.
