John Robins to visit Carlisle for stand-up show
COMIC and radio personality John Robins has announced he will visit Carlisle's Old Fire Station on his next tour.
The Darkness of Robins will head to the Old Fire Station on Friday February 16, 2018.
John has quickly made his name as one of the most quick-witted, engaging comedians on the circuit. He's the latest to burst out of Bristol's hotbed of talent and he has stories to tell, banter to have and bombs to drop.
Starting his career in 2005 when he reached the semi-finals of So You Think You're Funny competition at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. In 2007 he participated in the Comedy Zone showcase at the festival.
He has also performed a solo show at the Edinburgh Festival every year since 2009, starting with Skinny Love.
His subsequent shows were Nomadic Revery in 2010, Lift Your Skinny Fists Like Antennas to Heaven in 2011, Incredible Scenes in 2012 and Where Is My Mind? which he showcased in 2013.
All of John's shows were also toured around the UK and he has performed at the Machynlleth Comedy Festival and the Leicester Comedy Festival.
In February 2014 he started hosting the Elis James and John Robins show on XFM which is now now Radio X with fellow comedian Elis James. The show became a popular broadcast after moving to a weekly afternoon slot and in March this year, both presenters won a Chortle award for their show.
Tickets will go on sale this Friday June 16 at 10am from the Old Town Hall, online and at the Old Fire Station
