Jake Bugg announces Cumbria date on solo acoustic tour
CHART-TOPPING singer-songwriter Jake Bugg has announced he will be appearing in Cumbria on tour next year.
Having stunned onlookers at the 100 Club in London with his first intimate solo show of the year followed by his acclaimed new album, Hearts That Strain, going Top 10 on release, he has announced a further 16 UK and Ireland dates for the spring of 2018.
He appears at the Sands Centre, in Carlisle, on Wednesday February 21, 2018, with tickets set to go on sale this Friday September 29.
It will be his first return to the county, having starred on the main stage at Kendal Calling earlier this summer.
Hearts That Strain saw Jake work with Grammy Award winning producer David Ferguson and Matt Sweeney, in Nashville and recording with some of the best players in the history of popular music.
Bugg's incredible ascent began in 2012 when his self-titled debut album entered the UK charts at number one - aged 18, it made him the youngest British male artist ever to achieve this - going on to sell double platinum and get shortlisted for the UK Mercury Music Prize.
The two biggest singles from the record, Lightning Bolt and Two Fingers, went Gold and Silver respectively, earning him a legion of fans worldwide.
New single, How Soon the Dawn, was released in August, with Hearts That Strain arriving earlier this month.
Tickets for February's concert go on sale from the Sands Centre box office on Friday.
