Made in Georgian Cumbria

TODAY sees the first farmer’s market of the year take place in Cockermouth.

The market coincides with this weekend’s Georgian Fair.

Made in Cumbria has not held its monthly food and craft fair in the town for the last five months while work on the regeneration of Market Place was taking place.

The pavements have been widened and lighting has been improved to make it a more pedestrian-friendly area. The produce on offer from the Made in Cumbria producers include meat, dairy, plants, puddings, alcoholic beverages, jewellery, photography, body care, wood products and more. The Georgian fair will have re-enactments, street theatre, costume parades, and family entertainment.
