Top 25 riffs – with no trace of The Shadows!

I wonder if Jimmy Henshaw would have agreed with the recent poll of the top 25 guitar riffs by London’s Tech Music Schools to coincide with their 25th anniversary celebrations.

Most of the riffs were written more than 20 years ago. Ritchie Blackmore of Deep Purple topped the poll with his four-note tune Smoke on the Water from 1973.
