Rob holds on to number 9 shirt

VERSATILE Rob Lunt will again be handed his brother Shaun’s No 9 jersey for tomorrow’s Carnegie Challenge Cup clash with Super League visitors Hull KR – with a pledge of a return to the back-row soon.

Boss Dave Rotheram has kept faith with the No 13 at hooker as Shaun has still not recovered from the back injury he suffered at Blackpool two weeks ago.

Rob filled the hooking role in Town’s first NL2 win of the season at York last weekend, and Rotheram said: “He’s solid enough to play there. He would play at prop if I asked him to.

“I promised him at the start of the season that I would leave him at 13. Unfortunately, circumstances have meant that he’s played full-back, centre and back-row.

“But he’ll be back at 13 when everything settles down. He’s the future and I want to build the team around him and his brother. I feel sorry for Shaun because he really wanted to play tomorrow.”

New Aussie recruit Chris Young is cup-tied, which means a return for Ryan Campbell, who missed out last week as his wife was due to give birth. He is expected to be the only change.

Rotheram has preferred to focus on his own squad this week rather than Rovers, though he believes fans will be in for a treat (3.30pm kick-off).

Rovers back-rower Chris Chester will play for the first time since February after recovering from a calf problem.

Is it a miracle or a crime against nature that a man has given birth to a baby?

Miracle - any new life should be welcomed into the world

Crime against nature - the child will always be labelled a freak

It's not really anyone else's business
