Rotheram aims to put Blackpool’s lights out

STILL seeking his first National League Two victory of the season, Workington Town coach Dave Rotheram is confident that his side can deliver the goods when they travel to take on Blackpool Panthers at Fylde tomorrow (3pm ko).
Panthers have not won a game in 36 efforts and Town's form, on paper, would suggest that the Panthers might be in with a chance of breaking their run.
But last Sunday's 30-28 defeat at the hands of Rochdale Hornets is a game Town should have won. Twice they held a 10-point lead but gave the game away with two interception tries and another from a dropped ball.
“The players know they made mistakes but good players don't repeat those mistakes,” Rotheram told News & Star Sport.
“The signs are there and, as I've said before, honours aren't won in March and April. They are won at the end of the season and we are slowly gaining momentum.
“There's no point dwelling on last Sunday's defeat. The players know they lost the game and Rochdale didn't win it.
“We will prepare for Sunday's game as any other. We played some great rugby on Sunday but the errors marred the display.”
Rotheram is expecting half-back Jay Duffy to return to the fray after recovering from a shoulder injury. That will release Rob Lunt from the stand-off position, Lunt having excellen this season at loose-forward.
Hooker Shaun Lunt is expected to be back after picking up an ankle injury, as is Jason Mossop who picked up a similar injury against Hornets.
