POLICE are appealing for witnesses to a serious accident in Longtown which left two men with head injuries.
A two-car crash took place at 10pm on Sunday at the junction of Moor Road and Ladyseat Gardens.
The accident involved a white Subaru Impreza, driven by a 24-year-old Longtown man, and a blue Peugeot 206, driven by an 18-year-old man.
The Impreza mounted the kerb and struck a bus shelter before landing on its roof. The Peugeot driver and a 26-year-old man in the Impreza were taken to Cumberland Infirmary with head injuries. Two female Peugeot passengers, both from Longtown, suffered whiplash.
