Eggscellent fun at Tullie House

JOIN the fun at Tullie House Museum and Art Gallery this Easter for an eggscellent time.

The Easter break is packed with free craft drop-ins, animal handling sessions, workshops and activity Sundays.

Get down to Decorate Your Own Easter Egg on Saturday March 22 between 10.30am and 12.30pm or 1.30pm and 3.30pm. Tickets are £5 (£3 concessions). Customise your own Easter Eggs with icing sugar, marzipan and food colourings to create chicks, rabbits and flowers. Sugar sculptor and all-round icing genius Kay Whitewick will also help you write your name (or someone else's if it’s a present) on your egg.

Create your own plasticine creature and make it talk at Climate Creatures – Make a Claymation Film on Tuesday March 25 between 10.30am and 4pm. Tickets are £18 (£14 concessions). Join community artist Adam Clarke in this creative workshop were you can make your own film while finding out about climate change and how it affects animals and environments in our own back gardens.

Join Adam Clarke for more environmental fun at two artistic workshops, Exploring Climate Change through Creativity on Thursday March 27. Come down between 10am and 12pm for Fossil Fools where you can create posters and postcards, tickets are £7 (£5 concessions) or between 1pm and 4pm for Greenhouse Rhythms Radiate Rhymes where you can get your tongue round some climactic poetry and rap, tickets cost £9.

Meet some of the world’s Endangered Animals and learn how climate change is affecting their habitats at our Easter Animal Handling Sessions with the Zoo Educators on Saturday March 29 starting at 11am, 12pm, 2pm and 3pm. Tickets cost £2.50.

Up for some mischief with your friends on April Fool’s Day? Pick up some hilarious (and harmless) April Fools and Tricks with Sue Wardle on Tuesday April 1, starting at 11am, 12.30pm and 2.30pm. Tickets cost £2 (£1 concessions).

There is also a wide range of free activity drop-ins. Get creative at the Body Space Drop-in on Wednesday March 26 between 1pm and 4pm, where you can make a mask fit for a ball.

Bring down a boiled egg and put it through its paces at Decorate an Egg Family Drop-in on Monday March 31, between 1pm and 4pm.

Go down for the second Body Space Drop-in on Wednesday April 2 between 1pm and 4pm and make a personalised belt out of weird and wonderful materials.

Make an egg happy this Easter with a fabulous Funky Foam Egg Cosy. Make your own on Friday March 28 between 1pm and 4pm.
