Soccer star Kenny Deuchar has found his perfect match – and signed a lifetime contract.
The prolific former Gretna striker married Silvy Erskine at Airth Castle, near Stirling, on Saturday.
And he is bound to be congratulated by his army of fans in this region who watched him help the Borderers land three championships and reach the 2006 Scottish Cup Final.
Deuchar, whose ‘other’ job as a hospital doctor earned him the nickname Dr Goals, now plays in America for Major League Soccer side Real Salt Lake.
He was one of the most famous figures of Gretna’s rapid rise from non-league English football to the Scottish Premier League – equalling equalled Jimmy Greaves’ British record of six league hat-tricks in a season.
