HOW THEY MET: While working together in WHSmith in 1997.

PROPOSAL: James proposed when they were on holiday in Florida in June 2006.

VENUE: St John’s Church, Carlisle on May 24.

BRIDE’S OUTFIT: An Eddy K ivory bustier full-length dress decorated with sequins, ivory veil and tiara from Country Dreams in Carlisle.

GROOMSMEN: Darren Kelton was best man. The bride’s brother Nigel Mitchinson and the groom’s sister’s partner Craig Tunstall were ushers. They wore black morning suits with silver waistcoats and pink cravats from Greenwoods.

BRIDESMAIDS: Jennie Whitaker was best woman. The groom’s sister Rachel Notman was a bridesmaid. They wore pink, knee-length dresses from Capricorn. The bride’s niece Freya Mitchinson and the her god-daughter Holly Bowman were flowergirls. They wore ivory dresses from Next.

FLOWERS: The bride’s bouquet was made of ivory calla lilies, while the bridesmaid had a bouquet of pink-tipped roses – all by Pip Lowe.

TRANSPORT: A silver Beauford and a silver Rolls Royce from Silver Lady Wedding Cars, of Longtown.

RECEPTION: Pimms reception at the North Lakes Hotel for 70 guests.

TABLE SETTINGS: Each table was named after a Disney character.

CAKE: A three-tier cake with fruit, sponge and chocolate layers topped with Mickey and Minnie characters – made by Margies in Carlisle.

FIRST DANCE: Thank You by Dido. The couple had had professional dancing lessons from Alison McKerlie.

ENTERTAINMENT: DJ Mikee.

HONEYMOON: San Francisco, San Diego,Hawaii and New York.

PHOTOGRAPHER: The groom’s sister and father Rachel Notman and Mike Notman, of Carlisle.

VIDEOGRAPHER: A member of the family.
