HOW THEY MET: While working in Spain in 2002.
PROPOSAL: As the sun set on the beach in Alvor, Portugal in September 2006.
VENUE: St John’s Church, Hensingham on June 27.
BRIDE’S OUTFIT: An ivory crushed Grecian taffeta Maggie Sotterro gown with a ruched waistline decorated in crystals from I Do, Cockermouth.
GROOMSMEN: The groom’s brother Liam Benson was best man. The bride’s brother Stuart Mahone, the groom’s brother Rhys Benson and Chris Sparks were ushers. The bride’s nephew Louis Mahone was a page boy. They wore charcoal grey tailcoats from Greenwoods and ivory silk waistcoats and ruche ties from Well Suited, Cockermouth.
BRIDESMAIDS: Natasha Tait, 26, was a bridesmaid and wore a Watters and Watters spice dupion silk gown with cashmere silk sash from I Do. The bride’s nieces Ellie Mahone and Lauren Mahone were flowergirls and wore ivory Tigerlily dresses from Debenhams.
FLOWERS: The bride had a bouquet of Akito ivory roses, calla lilies, blue eucalyptus, foliage and diamantes with smaller versions for the bridesmaids. Ivory pomanders for the flowergirls from Flower Basket, of Whitehaven.
TRANSPORT: Ivory Beauford, gold Rolls Royce and a Daimler from A Touch Of Class, Workington.
RECEPTION: Summer punch reception for 90 guests at Hundith Hill, Lorton, with a further 180 people in the evening.
CAKE: Three-tier fruit and sponge cake with cherry brandy and fresh roses between the layers – made by Gillian Marr Cakes, of Mealsgate.
FIRST DANCE: Chasing Cars by Snow Patrol.
ENTERTAINMENT: Disco 2000.
HONEYMOON: Mediterranean cruise.
PHOTOGRAPHER: Bayvista Studios, of Whitehaven.
VIDEOGRAPHER: A family member.
