HOW THEY MET: Through friends 11 years ago. They have been together for the last four years.
PROPOSAL: Dougie got down on one knee and proposed at home on Christmas morning in 2006.
VENUE: Dalston Hall on June 28.
BRIDE’S OUTFIT: An ivory Maggie Sottero corset dress with lace, beads and Swarovski crystal detail; and a veil decorated with crystals and tiara from I Do, Cockermouth.
GROOMSMEN: David Clark, 28, was best man. The bride’s brother Andrew Earl, 27, Tony Fisher, 31, Steven Jenkinson, Stephen Wright, both 29, and Richard Hopkins, 28, were ushers. They wore black tail coats with pinstriped trousers, gold waistcoats and ruches from Tom Little, Maryport.
BRIDESMAIDS: Emma Barrett, 27, was maid of honour. Marianne Heaslip, 28, the groom’s sister Amanda Pomfret, 31, and the bride’s cousin Danielle Butchart, 13, were bridesmaids. They wore Raylia banana and gold satin dresses from I Do. The bride’s cousin Sarah Butchart, seven, and the groom’s niece Lauren Pomfret, eight, were flowergirls. They wore ivory butterfly dresses.
FLOWERS: A teardrop bouquet with cream roses, lilies, calla lilies, Singapore orchids, bear grass and crystal detail for the bride and posies of ivory roses with gold beading for the bridesmaids – from Fabulous Flowers, Seaton.
TRANSPORT: A Beauford and a Mercedes from A Touch Of Class.
RECEPTION: Champagne reception with canapes at Dalston Hall for 90 guests with a further 40 guests in the evening for a hot buffet.
FIRST DANCE: Chasing Cars by Snow Patrol.
ENTERTAINMENT: House disco followed by a firework display.
HONEYMOON: Singapore and Bali.
