HOW THEY MET: Sharon saw Kevin across a packed dance floor in a nightclub. She dragged him up to dance.
VENUE: St John The Evangelist Church, Carlisle, on July 19, Sharon’s 30th birthday.
BRIDE’S OUTFIT: An ivory Alexia gown with diamantes from Wedding Warehouse, Carlisle.
GROOMSMEN: The groom’s brother Dennis Davidson was best man. Nicky Davidson, Paul Fisher and Craig Watson were ushers. They wore frock coats hired from Debenhams. The bride’s sons Nathan and Jake Rushton were pageboys.
BRIDESMAIDS: Amanda Rushton was best woman. Julie Davidson, Nicola Davidson, Jade Nugent, Toni Rushton, Polly Stewart, the bride’s daughter Bryony Rushton and the bride and groom’s daughter Evie Davidson were bridesmaids.
FLOWERS: Stargazer lilies with pink, purple and ivory flowers from the Bay Tree, Denton Holme.
TRANSPORT: A Rolls Royce convertible and Daimler limousine from Silver Lady Wedding Car Hire, Longtown.
RECEPTION: Three-course meal for 64 guests at the Pinegrove Hotel, Carlisle, with a further 86 in the evening.
FAVOURS: Silver handbags with handmade chocolates from Saunders, Rheged for the women and Jack Daniel’s miniatures for the men.
FIRST DANCE: Is This Love, by Whitesnake.
ENTERTAINMENT: Resident DJ Gail Westmorland. At the reception, Sharon sang Diana Ross’s When You Tell Me That You Love Me to Kevin.
HONEYMOON: Blackpool.
